Back to School Teacher Gifts

It's Back to School time!! It always brings mixed emotions!! This year I decided to create a few Back to School teacher gifts!! Having been a teacher, I know that teachers always need pencils and pens!!

I used one of the Tag Topper dies from The Stamp Doctor. They have a lot of wonderful dies, stamps, and packaging options!!

This project used the following products from The Stamp Doctor

   2" Tag Topper Treat Bags #1

The pencil and pen are from The Write Stuff set at Pretty Cute Stamps!! The "Take Note" stamp is from a retired set at Papertrey Ink.

This month I made a card for my best friend who is setting out on a journey of a life time. She and her daughter are walking the "Camino" in Spain this year. She will be gone for 2 months and I will miss her so much!!

Movie Birthday

My daughter received a movie themed birthday party invite. I decided a movie themed card was needed. Right after the invite arrived, the idea came to me. It's rare that the image in my mind matches what I create. In this case it did!!

I used the Center Cut Die from The Stamp Doctor!! I love the matching layer dies that can be found by clicking under the options for the die listing. (Hope that makes sense) The images are from My Favorite Things.

 I am still working to improve my photographing!! :-)

Rain or Shine Side Step Card

Hello!!

I've been busy making cards for various occasions!! Now I just need to remember to send them!!  :-)

I've been working on improving my blending and coloring skills for about a year with classes from Kit and Clowder. Alyce's classes are AWESOME and she is so encouraging and inspiring.  I just don't spend enough time practicing so not much has improved. I am seeing improvement in skin and hair(still room for improvement but isn't there always?). I'll go back and work on other classes with other skills as time permits!! This weekend I realized that I'm ok with that. Being so focused on blending, shading, etc... has  been holding me back from creating cards. With this card and several I will share over the next few days, I just colored for the sake of coloring and loved it!!

I used the Stamp Doctor Side Step Card Die to make the base of this card!! I have wanted to make these types of cards for a long time but have no patience for cutting them out. So when I found the die at The Stamp Doctor, I was so excited!!! 

The images are from Pretty Cute Stamps specifically the Rain or Shine!!

I used Sharpies to color these instead of my usual Copics. They were quick and easy!!!

New Card using The Stamp Doctor Dies

I just found a new company "The Stamp Doctor". She carries a lot of card making dies as well as images and matching die sets. You can get to her store by clicking on the button on the right side of this blog!

I created using this card using The Center Step Card Die." I have always wanted to make the various "step" cards but don't have the patience. It's too much work to pull out my Silhouette and heaven forbid I cut them by hand!! 😁
